I am self employeed, doing property title research for a living. I am a delusional idealist, isolated socialist, and an uneducated intellectual.

Issues that matter to me:
My childrens future. Preserving our freedoms and constitutional rights. Restoring democracy by making our votes count. Health Care & Education. Investing in our country's future, not simply stuffing the wallets of the corporate elite.

The democrats are just as bad as the republicans. They are just more tactful about their methods. The 'universal' health care pumps billions into the already prosperous industrial medical complex. ... Read More »

Sad day.

I read this article this morning:

http://www.crossroad.to/articles2/08/swat-team.htm

It is a sad day in america, when we tolerate this type of behavior and NOT protest against it.

When we stop fighting for our constitutional rights, we stop defending the rights of our neighbors.

The Swat team needed to attack a FOOD CO-OP? To steal food from those who need it? The actual charges? Third degree…

Technology and Corporate Greed

Last week I watched the sequal to Zeitgeist, called Zeitgeist Addendum. If you havent seen either, you can view them at Zeitgeistmovie.com The movie started fine, full of information about the banking crisis, economic meltdown, then towards the end it goes off on some weird tangent about Venus Project that, well, seems way too sci - fi. The guy on screen sounds intelligent, but my eyes kept looking at the pictures behind his head during the interview that was full of space ships and futuristi…

Time for Activism - Net Neutrality

I know the junkies have many videos on net neutrality, as well as other places such as YouTube, etc.. but with Comcast's recent decision to follow in Time Warner's footsteps, it is time we all became more active in ensuring the future of a free and neutral internet. Time Warner Cable is loosing too much money, and they wish to recoup that by preventing people from easily or cheaply watching videos online.

Time Warners version is a monthly fee with a limit (40g). ABOVE the LIMIT will be…

News Reporting of Political Canidates

We all know the news focuses on their chosen canidates and ignore the rest. Faux news had been criticized of this time and time again. Last week I subscribed to the MSNBC rss feeds for some of the political canidates that I was watching, only to find out the canidates I selected, have not had any news stories added in over a month. The 'chosen ones' have stories added almost daily. Most of their online articles are AP articles, so its not like they had to actually have a journalist write a st…

Is there anything that can be done to stop it???

Is there anything that can be done to stop the North American Union? Or is it too late already?

Bush signed the first agreements back in 2005, with most of the steps taking place around 2010. The media is failing our country, and not informing the countries about what is going on behind closed doors, without congress approval, and exactly what the actions of this president means for this country. We have all seen the video clips of the protests in canada, and how their police handled t…

I do boycott walmart and have been vocal about it with my friends and family. I also pay attention to several sites like walmartwatch.com.

Thousands boycot walmart and yet the company has not been damaged.

Thousands ignore fox news, knowing its full of lies and bias opinons, and yet the company has not changed its policies.

Problem is those who control the information, control the public opinon. Most people do not have the time or energy to research every news story to verify the accuracy of the report.

People think that news is news.. and that the news is factual. Because that is what the news tells them...

Just like those who shop at walmart think that walmart has always low prices... Because that is what walmart has pouned into their brain through repetition. (if walmart had always low prices, the 5 heirs would not of gotten 18 BILLION EACH...)

I'll give you a hint......the people of the US are one of the largest markets in the world. The powers that be rely on this market very heavily for the funding of their agenda. It is through this market that the people can exert economic pressure....what would happen if evryone refused to shop at Wal Mart for one day, one week? What if we just stopped buying Shell gas? There can be no laws passed to limit our choice in the market, and, the market is still free enough to promote new businesses, just like this news service. This is known as "boycotting" and it can work in the same way the "UN sanctions" work to keep the third world countries in line. If we know that the New York Times is feeding us BULLSH__! why do we continue to read it? Just stop buying it and it will go away......

I can see why a person with children would be concerned for the future.

What we were taught in high school was just a tad, well ...bull shit.

I've no kids my self and a very bad heart. I think that the future is dark to say the least but like an old optimist I hope for the best.

Like smart concerned parents like you.

The goal is to get people to vote for their own real interest.

In the last election for ballet initiatives here in Cal. the issue of publicly financed elections was defeated by a combined effort of big business and unions.

Somebody's got to give up a little juice for real democracy but no one seems to want be first.
