Double Standards in Western Foreign Policy

President Bush announced today that the US would be stepping up sanctions against the ruling military junta in Myanmar and their principle financial backers.

Bush's actions come as the the junta threatened to use force against thousands of Buddhist monk's holding pro-democracy demonstrations in Rangoon, the former capital.
